Violist Laura Seay has been a prize-winner of the William C. Byrd Young Artists Competition and the Jeff Bradley Young Musicians Award, and has soloed with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, University of Northern Colorado and the Denver Young Artists Orchestra.
Ms. Seay earned her Bachelor of Music and Masters Degree in Viola Performance at The Juilliard School and is currently pursuing a Doctoral degree in music education at Teachers College – Columbia University. Teachers include Heidi Castleman, Hsin-Yun Huang and Steven Tenenbom and Robert Mann.
Ms. Seay is currently a member of the Juilliard School Pre-College Division’s viola faculty. She has served on the faculty of Chamber Music of the Rockies and Killington Music Festival. Originally from Denver, Colorado, Ms. Seay began playing violin at age 5 and viola at age 9.
