Michelle Lee, violin Tina Lee Hadari, violin Jacob Adams , viola After earning her undergraduate degree in Geology and Geophysics from Yale University, cellist An-Lin Bardin went on to pursue her Masters Degree at the Yale School of Music as a student of Aldo Parisot. As a member of the Yale Cellos, she performed in Weill Recital Hall in New York and at the 7th Rencontre de Violoncelles in Beauvais, France. She also appeared multiple times as a soloist with the Palo Alto Chamber Orchestra and the San Francisco Chamber Players, and was an award winner from the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts. She began studying the cello under the mentorship of Irene Sharp. An-Lin joined the Vinca Quartet in September 2005. While in residence at University of Colorado at Boulder, she served as an assistant to the Takács Quartet and studied with András Fejér. An-Lin has played in masterclasses for Yo-Yo Ma and Ralph Kirschbaum, Wendy Warner, David Finckel and Wu Han, and Shauna Rolston. She has coached with members of the Tokyo, the Emerson, the Vermeer, and the Colorado String Quartets. An-Lin has been active as a recitalist in the New York and Connecticut areas, performing for the Port Jefferson Arts Council, and the New England Arts Council. She has performed as a chamber musician throughout the US, and in Italy, France, and Australia. An avid proponent of contemporary music, she has appeared as a guest artist with the mixed-instrumentation ensemble Clogs in New York's Symphony Space — "a compelling performance" (NY Times). She has toured in Michigan and Washington with Loop 2.4.3, a vibrant Brooklyn-based percussion duo. She has collaborated with various composers in the New Haven area, played for the independent films, and recorded for several rock bands. An-Lin currently lives in a loft space in Brooklyn, NY. |
